Intel corp. and Micron Technology Inc. have announced world’s first 20 nanometer (nm) NAND flash chip. The chip is of 128Gb, and two companies have started the mass production of 64Gb NANS flash.
Their NAND chips inherent planar cell structure which promises more reliability and performance than of previously present technology.
Intel and Micron’s focus is to NAND flash available to fulfill its increased need in data storage devices, tablets, and smart phones, and other high performance devices.
