AT&T, the second largest carrier in the U.S. after Verizon, plans to expand its 4G LTE network across 11 new markets including: Los Angeles; San Diego; San Francisco; Oakland; San Jose; the New York City metropolitan area; Phoenix; Austin, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; Chapel Hill, N.C.; and Raleigh, N.C .
Previously its market range included Athens, Ga.; Atlanta; Baltimore; Boston; Charlotte, N.C.; Chicago; Dallas-Fort Worth; Houston; Indianapolis; Kansas City; Las Vegas; Oklahoma City; San Antonio; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Washington, D.C.
AT&T claims that its 4G LTE service will cover 74 million people combined previous and newly announced markets. By the end of 2013 AT&T hopes to expand to whole U.S.
