So far with the invention of computers, the mouse was the only available pointer. But with the passage of time, especially after the advent of iPad, touch screen technology left the old mouse behind to win the race.

Tobii Technology steps forward by launching its “Gaze Interaction” for upcoming Windows 8, which enables the users to control their computer screens with their eyes.

Scrolling through Web pages and image gallery, playing Need For Speed and painting your picture in Paint, all has been reinvented with Tobii’s Gaze Interaction.

The idea was generated in Stockholm University but now it is going mainstream at CES 2012.

Senseye is also the same kind of technology that is expected to come to Android phones/tablets this year.

In the near future, Tobii aims to expand this eye-tracking technology for various medical purposes, such as X-rays, Scans and Physiotherapy.
