Bwin.Party has defended its links to Megaupload.com saying that it was totally unaware of that shut down website contained any pirated material. The online gambling company paid $3 million to Megaupload in order to promote its website.
Bwin.Party is a British merger of Bwin Interactive and PartyGaming, that is one of biggest online gambling operators. The online company confirmed that it had a multi million advertising contract with Kim Dotcom’s website that ran the moment it was forced closed by the FBI.
It also said that Megaupload contracted with Bwin.Party mentioning not to host any pirated material whatsoever.
With Megaupload.com, Megavideo.com and Megabox.com are also those sites shut down by FBI. Kim Dotcom is under custody with other six alleged members of the “Mega Conspiracy” website.
