Elie Ahovi, a designer, has presented a concept of Orbit which is a washing machines unlike your regular household washing machines. Rather than using water to clean your clothes Orbit uses the dry ice to wash them for you. Strikes?
As you can see a drum inside a ring in the picture, the drum is superconductive and cooled by liquid nitrogen. Once you fill this ball or drum with your clothes and select a program it levitates and electric current flows to exclude the magnetic flow.
The ring is battery charged, during the levitation of drum it produces some energy that charges the ring when drum is off.
Orbit gives you a noise-free, easy to handle, and clean experience of washing clothes. The idea of Orbit was put together for Electrolux Design Lab.
