We have already enlightened you about LG introducing its Trio at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, just few days away from us. But that’s not all, MWC 2012 will be witnessing many other smart phones and tablets from world leading manufacturers. Here’s a quick preview of some of the gadgets that will fancy you at the congress.
Apple, as we know, doesn’t show up at MWC as the Cupertino has its own style of introducing its product line. Samsung which is considered Apple’s top rival so far is also going to showcase only two handsets including Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Note. New releases are kept for standalone events held by Samsung on a later occasion.
HTC is heard to introduce a comprehensive series of smart phones, though no code names are out yet. Nokia and Microsoft will take another shot to promote their Windows Phones at Mobile World Congress 2012.
Acer is going to launch its CloudMobile, the first to device to offer company’s cloud technology. Acer CloudMobile has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor to run Android 4.1 ICS. The 4.3inch screen has resolution of 1280×720 pixels, NFC supported, and an 8MP rear camera. There are many 8MP camera phones but I have never seen the picture quality as good as of Sony Ericsson Arc S, not even the leader in Android phones, Samsung Galaxy SII.
ViewSonic seems to be more excited than any tech company about the MWC as it will launch three smart phones and three tablet PCs in the congress. ViewPhone 4s looks to me a sibling of iPhone 4S from another father as not only the name resembles of two but also some of the features are shared between them such as 3.5inch screen size with 960×460 pixels, 5MP rear and VGA front facing camera. But unlike iOS ViewPhone 4s runs on Ice Cream Sandwich and supports dual SIMs.
ViewPhone 4e also has 3.5inch screen, ICS, dual SIMs, and 650MHz processor. And ViewPhone 5e has only 5 inch screen as a differentiating feature from the previous two phones. There are three tablets coming to MWC 2012 from ViewSonic as well, we mentioned it above, ViewPad G70, the E100 and P100.
G70 is equipped with 7-inch 1024 x 600-pixel capacitive IPS display, Android 4.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, a 2-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a microSD slot.
E100 is a 9.7 inch tablet. It has 1GHz processor to support 1024 x 768-pixel resolution with IPS screen technology, and Ice Cream Sandwich is packed in the box as well.
P100, closing to the screen size of Galaxy Tab, has 10 inch screen display size with 1280 x 800-pixel IPS display with a 1.6GHz Intel N2600 dual-core processor, and it doesn’t has any Android, rather it runs on Windows 7. ViewSonic has quite a range to pour into the show.
Stay connected for more update on MWC 2012 folks.
