Datawind has been named “UK’s Most Innovative Mobile Company” at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. With features and price range of Ubislate, Datawind hopes that more and more people will be able to connect to the digital world.
Smart UK Project, a competition that was arranged by UK Trade and Investment, Ubislate maker had three rivals including Blippar, P2i and QRpedia. But Russell Buckley who was one of judges for Smart UK Project said he is happy for Datawind to win the prize. The company will receive free design consultancy and free software as winning bounty.
Datawind is supplying the devices to Indian students to help them open their study options in this digital age.
