The world of robots is wondrous as the undeterred advancements in this very discipline leave me overjoyed. Almost a week ago we previewed a sketching bot from Germany’s IOSB. What know I have for you a robot that also make sketches but it is smaller and it is more creative, called Piccolo.

I really like the name of this bot something sounds like from Roman Ploanski’s movie. Piccolo is based on CNC platform that draws your conceptions on the paper. It looks like a regular pocket pen but I would say Piccolo is more of a pen. As the site reads “Piccolo is a pocket-sized stand-alone CNC platform. For under $70, you will be able to assemble your personal Arduino-compatible kit for tinkering, and playing with basic CNC output. Be it plotting a quick graffiti, printing a one-off business card on the fly, or multiple Piccolos working together to create a large mural, this kit provides a platform for experimenting with 2D or 3D digital fabrication at a small scale.”
Piccolo utilizes Arduino and Processing libraries to give you an extra hand of drawings. This little bot is currently into its prototype phase and I hope Diatom will out it soon.
