Nokia has officially announced the arrival of Nokia TV for its Lumia phones, maybe another effort to make its Windows phone popular.
But whatever this is sounds really nice. Nokia TV will be available in Finland, firstly, where users will be able to stream the shows via catch-up service from their local broadcasters. Lumia users won’t have to register or sign-up to get this specific service. TV shows that are aired can be streamed rather than live streaming.
“Finland is the ideal country in which to introduce this service due to its advanced mobile user base and great existing broadcaster catch-up TV services.” said Mika Suomela who is the head of TV and video at Nokia.
The Finnish company is facing a fierce competition from Apple and Google due to which in order to save the Nokia ship from sinking such valuable moves can be very handy.
