
It’s not Android apps only that steal your sensitive personal data the applications such as games, puzzles, quizzes that you use on Facebook also theft the basic information including your sex, name, pictures, religious and political bent, location etcetera.
There are some app devs that use such wealthy information to target advertising and other use it in mischievous way. To stop them all using your data, into your Facebook account, go to Privacy Settings and then click on the Edit tab next to Apps and Websites section.
Here you will see a list of four options, click on the Edit tab next to Apps You Use. You will see all the apps you’ve associated with your FB account, you can change their provisions or remove them all if you like to.

This is not all, your friends can also share your personal data with the apps they are using. So, the next process is to edit the How People Bring Your Info to Apps They Use section. Once you click the edit a small window will popup showing you the things you want or don’t want to be shared by your friends. Check or uncheck the options on this window according to your preference and Save Changes.
The last step to prevent your personal information from being stolen is to edit the Instant Personalization settings. At the time you’re using an app or a Website for the first time and you’re already logged-in to your Facebook account that certain app/Website will automatically fetch your information. To stop such action in the Instant Personalization click Edit, this will lead you to a video, you can close it if you’re unwilling to watch it.
After this a page will show a number of partner Websites. All you have to do is to uncheck the box showing Enable Instant Personalization on Partner Websites. This option is pre-checked.
That’s it. Safety belt is fastened, now you can drive safely.
