Burrito 3D Printer NYU Grad Develops A Burrito 3D Printer
A New York University student, Marko Manriquez, presented before the world its thesis project which was a burrito making machine that the maker calls Burrito-3D Printer.

Studying the Interactive Telecommunication Program at the University Marko came up with an idea of making this Mexican dish with his “BurritoB0t” by inputting the exact amount of ingredients (such as sour cream, salsas and guacamole) what one requires with an iPhone app. Once done, there comes out your perfectly tasty burrito.

The bot is actually a rapid prototyping machine specifically designed to 3D print burritos. It employs an array of syringe extruders (mounted on a rotating gantry) based on Makerbot’s Frostruder MK2.

Marko said “The only thing I enjoy more than making cool stuff is making a decent burrito…I made my little bot as a means of exploring my two passions, digital fabrication and good food.”

He is planning to showcase his invention throughout the New York City this summer. I will miss this definitely, but you can witness it if you live in the same city. Would you care for that?
