
Recently, Nintendo has announced a plan to bring forth an updated version of 3DS portable console. The new model will be having a substantially larger 4.88 inches autostereoscopic screen, increased from 2.02 inches on the original 3DS, with the same graphics res of 320×240.
Also its battery life will see a significant boost, going from a disappointing 3.6-6.5 hours for the original 3DS to 6-10 hours for the XL. So, other than some extra rounded frame and better looking buttons, it is almost identical to the previous versions.
A twice big 4GB SD memory card, three 0.3MP cameras (one inner and two outer), a motion sensor, a gyro sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n controller and a Slide Pad will also be bundled with the 3DS XL. It will be unveiled in three attractive colors; red, blue, and silver.
3DS XL weighs approximately 336 grams. However, the redesigned console will no longer include an AC adapter or charging cradle, the accessory will be sold separately.
The new gaming console will be available for sale on July 27 in Europe. But the company has not yet announced its price in GBP, however if you are a currency guy it will cost $199.99.
