Brain Scanning Brain Scanning Helped Man See Through Robotic Eyes
Robots, man made bodies have so far being controlled with some of physical controllers. But recently a man, Tirosh Shapira, has been found controlling the robot with the help of his thoughts, under a project named VERE (Virtual Embodiment and Robotic Re-Embodiment).

Shapira, sitting in a lab at Bar-Ilan University Israel, was controlling the movements of a two-legged robot thousands kilometer away in France at Beziers Technology Institute. This avatar body of robot is actually being designed to monitor the human thoughts via a brain scanning system. More interestingly, Shapira could also see through the eyes of the robot walking around in the French institute.

To make this all happen the team developed a system that could interpret the fMRI (Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) data. The process is, usually, regarded as brain imaging in which blood flow and body parts’ movements, that are associated with the system, are recorded.

Afterward, the data was being recognized by the robot in the form of walking, talking or some other simple movements.

Well, I can easily guess from the current situation that the experts would further be struggling to replace this electronic surrogate with a giant humanoid. And that’s a truth.
