
Since long, Gaikai technology has been known to provide online video games to the people, but it never reduced the charm of gaming consoles as it didn’t gain much popularity.
But recently Sony Computer Entertainment has officially announced to soon acquire Gaikai worth a $380 million deal. Sources show that the Japanese electronics maker soon plans to introduce the people with less familiar but of course much sophisticated technology, cloud based gaming services.
Sony’s streamed gaming service would certainly make the regular gaming consoles less popular, because it would provide its users the facility to play online games via their laptops, tablets, monitors etc.
OnLive Inc, the biggest rival of Gaikai also offers similar service of cloud gaming people play online. None of the involved companies have commented on this futuristic acquisition.
