Maccabees 1 Maccabees To Shoot Historic 3D Video With Kinect Cameras
The Maccabees, an indie band, is going to use the Xbox gaming console to shoot the 3D music video with its Kinect Technology. It is the very first example of such novel use of this technology even though many filmmakers are trying to find new and interesting ways to shoot their footage.

A small session of 15 minutes will be filmed by the directors of this video, Jamie Roberts and Will Hanke. They will use ten Kinect cameras to cover the every possible angle of this high level performance during the shoot. A specially designed rig, designed by James Alliban, will be used by the Maccabess to play three songs which will be imported in to a 3D software (Maya) to create a three dimensional effect of the video.

I am sure you are as excited as I am about this video and I cannot wait to watch it.
