Amid the high stakes Nokia and Microsoft have launched their Windows 8 flagship model, Lumia 920. This fancy looking smartphone is not very distinctive in terms of its design as compared to the previous Lumia models.
Lumia 920 supports PureMotion HD display which is one the best in the market and it can compete directly with those with iPhone and Galaxy SIII. It will also feature 32GB internal storage, NFC, 4G LTE, and 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM, and 2000mAh battery.
The PureView camera technology in 920 with Carl Zeiss lens makes its shooter more sensitive in low key lighting photography.
Another, mid-range, smartphone announced by the duo is Lumia 820 which supports extra covers.
Both of these smartphone will be available toward the end of this year, having Lumia 920 in Red, Grey, Black, and Yellow colors.
I am really waiting to see how such press events prior to the release of iPhone 5 are going to affect the Apple event.
